Professor Shafi Ahmed has set up surgical education programs in countries across the globe and has recently created a foundation with the aim of giving back to impoverished communities by improving access to medical training. In developing countries, people and children are forces to go without basic surgical care due to the lack of staff and facilities, through technology, the aim is to make this a problem of the past.
